This great versatile device allows a floating intake, tap or other fittings to be fitted inside a tank and leaves a threaded male (1" BSP) and female (3/4" BSP) component external to the tank. The external thread can be used to fit a tap or a pump connection to draw water from the floating intake. The total thread depth is 30mm which allows compatibility with the thickest of our tanks and also some wooden barrels. The nut depth is 9mm so a 21mm tank thickness allows the female thread to be used. If the bulkhead is being used for a new thread on an existing tank where a backnut cannot easily be tightened simply drop the bulkhead into the tank using a piece of string as a central guide. The washer and flange will sit internally, the thread will poke out of the tank and the backnut
