Here at Fair and Fabulous, we believe that fair trade starts from the bottom up! So we are very glad to sell these gorgeous cotton knickers. The fair trade pants are stylish and comfortable, with lovely lace trim around the edges and a soft cotton gusset. They are machine washable at 40 degrees. Each pair comes in an organza gift bag which also contains a picture of the women who make them. So you will always be able to answer the question 'who made my clothes?' about your underwear at least.

These pants are made by Malabar Memsahib, a small group of skilled women who stitch beautiful clothing for the local market in Ponnani, Kerala, as well as this fair trade clothing for the UK market. When the income from local stitching is low, the knickers and pyjamas provide an assured source of income. This directly improves the lives of the women and gives them hope for their future and that of their families. They also feel greatly empowered by the demand for their clothing here in the UK.
