This is a lovely piece of lingerie that is just incredible when you look at it from the view point of the hand work that would have been done to make this. If you were to try to buy new lingerie at this same level of construction it would be at an insane price if you could even find anyone doing this still. The gown is made out of a pink silk that is very feminine in feel. It has classic thirties bias cut lines to it and this makes the dress have incredible movement and drape over the body. The gown is made out of a pink silk that is very feminine in feel. It has classic thirties bias cut lines to it and this makes the dress have incredible movement and drape over the body. The waist nips in and the skirt flares out quite extensively under that. Hand done detailing is on the front side of the bodice with a flower made of embroidery work, open cut outs and satin. I have included a shot of the back of the fabric for this area for you to see to handwork. The sweetest little pockets sit on each side of the waist and these have that same detailing done on them. Pink satin ties extend out from each side and tie at the back. It is in amazing condition and looks to have been worn very little if at all. Excellent condition Unlined and slips on to wear. The waist has no opening so as is would be best suited for someone very tiny as you have to be able to get the waist past your shoulders to get it on. That said, it would be fairly easy to open a side seam and add snaps so that it is easier to get into. Hand finished throughout and a truly amazing example of the work done for lingerie during this time period. The fabric is cut on the bias so will come up a bit in length once on an actual body.
